What is GSA MSO’s USAccess Program? The USAccess program was developed to be a shared end-to-end solution for issuing Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards as mandated by HSPD-12. The GSA MSO USAccess program allows Civilian agencies and commissions to share a common identity management infrastructure for the issuance of HSPD-12 compliant credentials. The USAccess program also simplifies the process of registering, credentialing, and maintaining the lifecycle of these credentials for each participating agency, as GSA MSO serves as the executive agent responsible for administering and coordinating the USAccess program. What Benefits Come With Participating in USAccess? Agencies that participate in USAccess do so in support of a common goal to reduce the cost of initial IT investments, operations, and regular maintenance associated with the effort. Furthermore, by partnering with a Shared Service, agencies will collectively reduce duplicative expenditures and efforts by collaboratively bearing these costs. USAccess provides all the infrastructure necessary to maintain Applicant user accounts, enroll Applicants, and print LincPassesHow Many Agencies/Departments Participate in USAccess? As of March 2008, 68 departments and agencies are participating in the Shared Service Solution. Where Can I Find Out More? Please visit the USAccess program website at www.fedidcard.gov |
